SDS ist eine Abkürzung, die parallel in den USA und in Westdeutschland während der sechziger Jahre für eine neue Politikvorstellung stand: Für Demokratie und Sozialismus, Revolte und Anarchie, Anti-Autoritarismus und Anti-Imperialismus. Students for a Democratic Society (Studenten für eine demokratische Gesellschaft) und der Sozialistische Deutsche Studentenbund waren Genossinnen und Genossen in Ideen und Aktionen. Dieses Internet-Projekt ist der Geschichte und den Anliegen dieser beiden Organisationen gewidmet.

During the nineteensixties these three letters stood for democracy and socialism, revolt and anarchy, anti-authoritarianism and anti-imperialism.
